2. Eligibility
2.1 The Hackathon is open to invited participants only. Registration requires a valid email address verified against the official Hackathon guest list.
2.2 Each Participant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
2.3 Employees of Bloomreach directly involved in operating, judging, or administering the Hackathon are not eligible to participate.
2.4 Teams must consist of between 6 and 10 members. Each Participant may only be registered to one Team.
2.5 Each Team must designate one Team Lead responsible for Slack monitoring, deadlines, and the final Submission.
3. Registration and Participation
3.1 Registration is complete only when a Team has (a) submitted the registration form, (b) submitted an initial project idea, (c) joined the official Slack workspace, and (d) set Slack display names as: First Name Last Name – Team Name.
3.2 Initial idea submissions represent a starting point only. Ideas may evolve during the build phase.
3.3 Teams may switch their primary challenge track by notifying the Organiser in Slack and updating their submission form.
3.4 The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any registration that contains false, misleading, or incomplete information.
4. The Hackathon Format
4.1 The Hackathon is conducted in a fully virtual and asynchronous format. There are no mandatory daily attendance requirements.
4.2 Key deadlines — Idea Submission, Final Submission, and Demo Day — are binding. Late submissions will not be accepted except at the Organiser's sole discretion.
4.3 All official communications will be distributed via the official Slack workspace. Participants are responsible for monitoring it regularly.
5. Permitted Use of Resources
5.1 Hack Stack resources are made available solely for the purposes of the Hackathon and must not be used for personal projects, commercial use, or any unrelated activity.
5.2 Participants must spin down cloud resources when not building, use smallest viable instance sizes, and tag all resources with their team name.
5.3 Participants must not exploit, reverse engineer, overload, or compromise any platform, service, or API made available through the Hack Stack.
5.4 Access credentials, API keys, sandbox tokens, and private links are confidential and must not be shared publicly, posted in Slack, committed to repositories, or included in any Submission materials.
6. Data and Privacy
6.1 Participants must use only approved demo, sandbox, or synthetic data. Use of real production customer data is prohibited unless explicitly approved in writing by the Organiser.
6.2 Participants must not expose, store, collect, process, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) outside of approved environments.
6.3 By registering, Participants consent to the Organiser collecting and processing their name, email address, employer, role, and Submission materials for administering the Hackathon. Data will be handled in accordance with Bloomreach's Privacy Policy at bloomreach.com/privacy.
6.4 The Organiser may reference team names and project titles in communications and showcases unless a Participant opts out at loomi-connect@bloomreach.com before the Closing Ceremony.
7. Responsible Design and Agentic Workflows
7.1 Submissions involving agentic workflows that affect customer-facing outcomes, campaign execution, payment processing, or business-impacting actions must include a visible human review or approval step.
7.2 Participants must be able to clearly explain what data is passed to any agent, which tools are called, what decisions are produced, what is implemented versus simulated, and what limitations apply.
7.3 Participants must be transparent about the distinction between working functionality and mocked or future-facing components.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Participants retain full ownership of all intellectual property they create during the Hackathon.
8.2 By submitting, each Participant grants the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to review, evaluate, display, and internally reference the Submission for judging and Hackathon communications. This does not extend to commercialisation without a separate written agreement.
8.3 Participants warrant that their Submission is original work, does not infringe third-party rights, and complies with all applicable open-source licences.
9. Submissions
9.1 Each Team must submit before the Final Submission Deadline: (a) Project Summary (max 500 words); (b) Demo Video (5–6 min, accessible link); (c) Architecture Overview; (d) Team Details; (e) MCP Usage Explanation; (f) Responsible Design Note.
9.2 All submission links must be accessible to reviewers. The Organiser is not responsible for broken links.
9.3 Submissions must use at least one Loomi Connect MCP surface meaningfully. Superficial API calls do not satisfy this requirement.
10. Judging and Evaluation
10.1 Submissions will be scored against five equally weighted criteria (20% each): Problem Relevance & Clarity; MCP Utilisation & Depth; Agent Behaviour & Intelligence; Execution Quality & Feasibility; Innovation & Differentiation.
10.2 Each Submission will be reviewed by a panel of three judges. Scores are consolidated by the Hackathon core team to determine final rankings.
10.3 The Organiser's decisions on judging, scoring, and rankings are final and binding.
11. Disqualification
11.1 The Organiser may disqualify any Participant or Team for: (a) misuse of resources, data, or sandbox environments; (b) sharing credentials or API keys; (c) use of production customer data without approval; (d) platform misuse or unauthorised access; (e) agentic workflows with no human review step; (f) plagiarism or misrepresentation; (g) Code of Conduct violations; or (h) any breach of these Terms.
11.2 Disqualified Teams will have Hack Stack access revoked immediately.
12. Code of Conduct
12.1 All Participants must act with professionalism, integrity, and respect toward fellow Participants, Organiser staff, Partners, and judges.

12.3 Participants must not misrepresent their Submission or interfere with the work of other Teams.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 Hack Stack resources are provided on an "as is" basis. No warranties are given as to availability, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for purpose.
13.2 The Organiser shall not be liable for technical failures, data loss, or service interruptions during the Hackathon.
13.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser's total liability shall not exceed the value of any prize awarded to that Participant.
14. Changes and Cancellation
14.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms, change deadlines, or cancel the Hackathon at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the #announcements Slack channel.
14.2 In the event of cancellation, the Organiser will have no liability beyond returning any registration fees paid (if applicable).
